Can you imagine a little girl frantically looking for keys in the dark, finding them, and crawling out of a window to escape active danger in her home?

She lived in hiding, couldn’t tell her friends where she was, endured two house fires, and was humiliated when starting her period because she bled through her clothing at school.

You get the picture! If anyone knows a thing or two about Adverse Childhood Experiences, Dr. G does! So when it comes to our girls, she has their backs and ours, too!

Gumbo, a culinary favorite from Louisiana, is usually filled with complex and unique flavors. Dr. G’s platform is a unique gumbo from Louisiana, combining nearly two decades as a Board-Certified Pediatrician, Best-Selling Author, Faith-Based Motivational Speaker, Teacher, Influencer, Mentor, Visionary, Wife, and Mom who loves to dance and enjoys nerf-gun battles with her husband and boys.

Due to her childhood trauma, low self-esteem became a thorn in her side. She feared rejection, became a chronic people-pleaser, and constantly worked to be accepted. Her past trauma led to poor choices that adversely affected her health and well-being.

She silently struggled for years while attempting to balance work-life demands. One day, while seeing patients, she felt faint and was later admitted to the hospital with high blood pressure a few days before her son’s birthday. She was devastated, but this is where the rubber met the road.

She prayed while intentionally minimizing distractions to hear God’s voice, and He spoke to her. Her career had become an overwhelming idol over God and her family. She unconsciously relied on her self-efforts above seeking God for help and wisdom. One day, God gave her All Things Dr. G, Faith, Family, and Pediatrics while in praise and worship.

Dr. G walked away from all that she had ever professionally known into uncharted territory by faith to align her life in a way that honored God’s original purpose and plans for her life.

A short time later, God gave her the vision for Puberty, Power, and Purpose for Girls. Now, hundreds of Girls have received puberty education while gaining knowledge that empowers them for success and propels them into their God-given purposes.

Now, everything is coming full circle. When Dr. G let go and surrendered, God healed her by revealing her true identity and who she was born to be. He used therapy as a tool on her journey. He desires to do the same thing for you!

She’s overjoyed that the Lord strategically turned lemons into lemonade in her life. Now, Dr. G can pour into Women and Girls globally. Through her story, she is a light pointing others to Jesus so they, too, will have hope, a future, and an expected end!
